Christenings

It is a very special day when a child is christened. During a christening your child will be baptized with water. It’s an important milestone in your child's journey of faith, and a special day for all your friends and family. Our christenings normally take place either in the main 10.30am service or at 12.30pm (the 12.30pm service lasts about half an hour).

If you would like your child to be christened please contact our office and we will send you an application form (chadbrookoffice@gmail.com). Whereas many parents already have connections with both the village and the church community, it is also possible to establish links so that we can take your christening service.

During the service parents and Godparents make statements affirming the Christian faith; the minister will discuss these with you before the service. There are occasions where parents feel more comfortable simply giving thanks to God for their child  - this can be done in a Thanksgiving Service.
