Melford Music

For this summer's season please

Melford Music is a charity which hosts lunchtime recitals through the summer months starting at 1.10pm every Wednesday. Admission is free.

Recitals usually run for about 40 to 45 minutes and feature the piano, bassoon, saxophone, clarinet, flute, oboe and French horn, and from the strings department the violin, viola, cello, guitar and harp. We have listened to music from centuries past and more modern genres and we have given both professional musicians and numerous young musicians a platform for their talents which have been received with much enthusiasm by our increasing audience numbers. Light Refreshments are available and there is a retiring collection for building preservation work at Holy Trinity Church.

Melford Music’s aim is to bring the knowledge and love of music to the area, to support musicians by giving them a platform for their talents, and to contribute to the maintenance & restoration of this famous 15th century church.

Access by wheelchair to the church is easy and there is a toilet for the disabled. Public Toilets are available in the Churchyard. The church is fitted with a loop system for the comfort of those who use a hearing aid. Normal emergency regulations will apply.
